My daughter was struggling with her Nat 5 Maths, Chemistry and Biology subjects. The lessons provided some great foundations about how to apply her learning to exam questions. The lessons required her to interact and work through examples, which also helped to study the areas she needed more support with.
After a disappointing result in the Higher prelims we reached out to Physics Coach. At the time, it was difficult to find the right one-to-one tutor, and time was ticking. My child was predicted a C in Higher Human Biology - but just last week, she received an A. Her teacher even confirmed it was a high A. I was initially sceptical about using Physics Coach, assuming one-to-one tutoring would be more effective. But we simply couldn’t have asked for a better outome than what we got with Physics Coach. From the moment my child joined the small online class, my child was fully engaged. There were no distractions, and all the students were immersed and eager to learn. The format worked perfectly for us. I highly recommend Physics Coach and will absolutely use them again.

If you sign up before 16th February 2026, you'll get your first lesson of tutoring for just £15! Thereafter, our tutoring lessons are £25 each. You'll be billed at the end of the month.
To get the grades at Nat 5 or Higher, challenging studying should start months before exams - practice and confidence. Our lessons run until the start of the SQA exam diet.
We understand how stressful it can be to get your child to commit to studying – especially in exam year. Our sessions remove the pressure from you and help your child build the habits that lead to top marks.

Hi, I’m David, the Physics Coach. I am an experienced and passionate Physics teacher and an award-winning educator. I carefully select the tutoring team to make sure your child gets the best possible session of studying every week.
Our tutors are fully qualified GTCS registered teachers, who are selected based on the results they help their students get at school. From prelims to final exams, our teachers are best in class.
When I first started tutoring, I only taught Physics – which is why we’re called the Physics Coach! Now, we offer Chemistry, Maths and Biology too.
We only offer group tutoring. Group sessions keep students engaged, allow them to learn from peers, and mirror the way they’re taught in school – all at a more affordable price.
In my experience as a teacher, group learning works best. It encourages collaboration, improves motivation, and builds confidence through discussion. Many students thrive more in this format than in traditional 1-to-1 private tutoring.
This allows enough time to cover a topic in depth, answer questions, and consolidate learning — all in a single
weekly session per subject.
No. While we started as “The Physics Coach” only offering Physics tutoring, we now offer National 5 and Higher
Maths, Biology, and Chemistry too.
Most students enjoy sessions once they meet their tutor, but if it’s not the right fit you can cancel anytime – no
